Medline Names Karen G. Ferraro As Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources

Medline Industries, Inc., the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies, announced today that it has appointed Karen Garoukian Ferraro as senior vice president, global human resources. Ferraro has more than 25 years of human resources experience and will be responsible for developing and leading Medline's global human resource strategy, including talent development and diversity, recruitment and selection, performance management and total rewards within Medline's business groups.

"We are thrilled to have Karen join the Medline team," said David Greenberg, Medline's executive vice president of strategy. "Her experience and understanding of the human resources function will be invaluable to us as our business continues to expand both domestically and internationally."

Ferraro joins Medline from SC Johnson where she led human resources for numerous divisions, including Latin America, R&D, Finance, IT, and Corporate. She also was responsible for leading executive recruiting globally. She most recently served as senior director, North America human resources, with responsibility for all aspects of the human resources function. She has a master's degree in Organizational Communication from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
